Meggins

Eccoci di nuovo qui!

Ancora una volta il titolo del post anticipa il tema. So perfettamente di entrare dentro un argomento già dibattuto on line, ma sento di voler condividere la mia opinione al riguardo. Ovviamente come avrete capito voglio parlarvi dei Meggins.
Come ogni giornalista che si rispetti (non che io mi creda tale) il punto di partenza per trattare un argomento è riportare l'evento. Stando alla fonte Tgcom è stato lo showman Conny O'Brien, che forse conoscerete per aver presentato The Tonigh Show nel 2010, o per aver fatto un cammeo in How I met You Mother, ad aver indossato i meggins per primo in televisione.
( Potete ammirarlo in un bellissimo paio di jeggins...XD)

Dopo essere stati sdoganati, sembra che abbiano invaso la Grande Mela...certo sempre nei limite del reale. Perchè diciamocelo si tratta comunque di un leggins da uomo! Eppure nonostante ciò vengono sfoggiati da alcuni personaggi di un certo calibro, come Lenny Kravitz e Justin Bibier ( detto ciò forse mi rimangio il " certo calibro").
Bene: adesso che ho riportato oggettivamente la notizia c'è da chiedersi: Meegins sì o no?
Francamente non riesco a schierarmi di netto. Cioè, per quanto muscoloso o dotato delle più belle natiche del mondo, parliamo sempre di un uomo che indossa una calzamaglia! Eppure allo stesso tempo penso: perchè abbiamo tutti questi preconcetti? 
Fino a qualche mese fà avrei aberrato l'idea dei meggins senza pensarci due volte ma ho cambiato idea. Questa estate sono stato 2 mesi in Scozia, una terra meravigliosa in cui vive un popolo ancora più meraviglioso se possibile. Lì mi sono accorto che di come a nessuno importasse il colore di capelli o l'outfit scelto da un perfetto sconosciuto. Alla fine dei 2 mesi dopo essermi confrontato anche con un po di "autoctoni" ho capito una cosa: loro sono così; fanno ciò che si sentono punto e basta.  
Giunto a questa conclusione, mi è sorta un'altra domanda: Sono geni o folli? Non mi sento ancora sicuro della risposta ma credo siano semplicemente dei geni, perchè hanno imparato ad essere se stessi al di fuori di ogni schema imposto. Credo possa essere un bello spunto di riflessione nella vita per capire chi siamo e chi vogliamo essere al di fuori degli modelli sociali. Onestamente non potrei mai indossare i meggins ( Per quanto gli outfit sfoggiati da questi modelli sono accattivanti) ma se in preda ad un attacco di estro decidessi di farlo perchè dovrei fermarmi per la paura di essere additato in strada? 
In conclusione: Meggins si!  Se un uomo si sente di indossarli perchè non dovrebbe!
Posto che ammiro chi li indossa devo ancora trovare il mio spirito puramente scozzese, ma quando sarà vi posterò le mie foto!

Here we are!Once again, the title makes you know the topic. I know I'm talking about something already discussed on the web, but I want to share my opinion with you. Obviously I want to write about Meggins.A famous journalist (actually I don't believe I'm one of them) the beginnning of a topic should be reporting the event. According to the source Tgcom the showman Conny O'Brien, who is probably known for presenting The Tonigh Show in 2010, or for doing a cameo in How I Met You Mother, was the first one who wore the meggins on television.Since that time, meggins seem to have invaded the Big Apple ... of course always within the limit of reality. Because we are still talking about leggings for men! But now a lot of famous people use to wear it, as Lenny Kravitz and Justin Bibier (I don't accept the Bibier's fame but it's a fact).Well, now the question is: Meggins or Not meggins?Actually, I can not decide. Even if the most muscular man of the world, we  are still talking about a man who wears leggins! But at the same time I wonder, Why do we have such a lot of preconception? Until a few months ago I would have said "meggins no", but I changed my mind. This summer I spent two months in Scotland, a wonderful land where lives people even more wonderful than the land. There I realized that scottish people doesn't matter how people dress or how they colour their hair.
And now the question becomes: Are they crazy or brilliant? I'm still not sure about the answer but I guess they are brilliant, because they learned to be themselves outside any social scheme. I think this one might be a good way to understand who we are and who we want to be outside the social patterns. I'm not ready to be a scottish man outside the schemes, but if one day I'll be...so what? In the end:  Meggins yes! If a man wants to wear it, why he should not?
